Elements biographiques

S’il est connu pour sa traduction du Coran , il est aussi l’auteur d’un Dictionnaire général, en dix volumes in-folio. Il a été, jusqu’à sa mort, un membre de la Société pour la promotion de la connaissance du christianisme pour lequel il contribua à la traduction en arabe du nouveau Testament.
