Author

Dr Noha Abou-Khatwa is Adjunct Assistant Professor at the American University in Cairo, Egypt. Her PhD is from the University of Toronto. Prior to her PhD she started and directed projects for the Thesaurus Islamicus Foundation.

Presentation

Her dissertation, entitled “Calligraphers, Illuminators and Patrons: Mamluk Qur’an Manuscripts from 1341-1412 AD in light of the collection of the National Library of Egypt”, focuses on Quranic manuscripts as well as the individuals responsible for the creation of such manuscripts.
